It is pretty much accepted mid-managers and many advisors are being cut. Will those of us in the lower 20’s PSG be fighting against higher PSG’s for our jobs? Many of them haven’t done our jobs (came up through other paths) but I imaging could BS their contributions on a resume’. 1st re-org and curious how this will work.

One PSG29 is paid 4-5 times what one PSG21/22 earns. The higher PSG advisors and ineffective managers/administrators must go or we are wasting our effort on cost cutting.
@ab+1jmp6d2kr this should be the Chevron induction.
they will be considered too expensive in lower PSG roles
imagine being pressed about a mid manager competing for the same role as you. dude those people do not have the skills. use it or lose it effect.
If some curry mu----r wants to put up with the frustrations of my job for 1/5th the salary, they can have it.
True. You can only apply one psg up or down, but the same networked managers will stay in control, prioritizing self-preservation. They “take care of each other “. They've made it clear that everyone is replaceable, now through cheaper offshore labor- Aberdeen, Buenos Aires, Manila, Bangalore. When high-level roles, like petroleum engineers, show up on job boards, it’s evident there are no limits to offshoring. They are already bringing in replacements in every work stream. If your job isn’t in scope now, it will be in the next few years.
Most PSG 22s and below are going offshore. I’m not exaggerating. The goal is 50% shared service utilization, and they’re not sending leadership positions overseas.
I asked what this would do to succession plans and the company’s capacity to be creative in the future. They just shrugged.
get rid of all employees grade level 26-28 would be an excellent place to start
Waaa, waaa, waaa!! Keep on crying!!! Are you value adding or not? Waaa, waaa, waaa!!!
PSG 22 and below is all going to shared service centers. They are chopping the bottom of the pyramid off and sending it to the third worlders. I asked what this would do for succession plans and the company’s capacity is to build/create. They just shrugged.
I honestly don’t care anymore. Get cut this time. Get cut next time. What does it even matter anymore?
I don't know why people bother getting engineering degrees to be PSG 21 and then have zero opportunities in times like this. Move to non technical functions, no degrees, no actual work experience required, just get the right friends and flex your ego and you can make it to PSG 26/27. It helps if you bounce between victim and victor mentalities while building and empowering bullies to do your dirty work..then just pretend like you had no idea and gaslight away.
Depends on what PSGs you’re looking at , memo said you’re allowed to post one up and one down on PSG …Think most advisors if I'm not mistaken are roughly PSG 21-22? The 20-22 group is gonna be madness.
You can only apply for roles one PSG above or below your current PSG.
