Looking to join Aetna Eng role

Should i do it with all these layoffs? I would be leaving a fairly safe role to join aetna

Couldn't agree more on replacing leaders. There are people who don't know the first thing about coding... their rationale is I don't have to.

The leadership in IT is the worst you will find anywhere. They have a special skill for replacing top leaders with the worst you can find. "how do you possibly find someone worse than before" and they do it spectacularly.

No. Aetna and CVS IT are about 10 years behind most IT. The code bases are pieced together, you are kept on projects with no room for growth or skill development. Lots of Silos and ongoing layoffs.

The salaries are awful compared to other companies.

@OP+1jmjcg921 you would be insane to do this unless you were indian. 100% serious, unless you are indian and willing to pay kickbacks to an indian overseer, Aetna / CVS is not for you
