On the Bright Side

With SR going away for IT and most people not relocating great idea to try to PDC in higher PSG positions.

In the typical PDC you are only allowed to post 1 psg higher. So if you are a 23, you can apply to 24-25, but not a position to that is a 25-26 or even a 25 only.

It used to be you had nothing to lose and migh even get it, but unless it is a placed job there are no instant promotions and placed jobs are typically for operations. Secondly in recent times your chances as a 23, landing in a 24-25 job are slim. That is because people are also allowed to post 1 psg downward (without losing their currently salary. Therefore you are competing against 23s, 24s, 25s, and even 26s for that 24-25 job! The era of upward mobility is done.

This is not a PDC lol
This is a ROM

Also these will be career ladder positions, not placed positions. Which means that if you are psg 22, and apply to a psg 23-24 job, you’re going to be a 22.

Or worse, if you’re a 22 applying to a 21-22 job, that position will be flooded with people who are psg 23 applying down a psg and thereby making you “less competitive” or some bs like that.

Let the bloodbath begin.

Always go 1-2 PSG higher at PDC. You have nothing to lose. Or as many of you like to write "you literally have nothing to lose".

IT higher psgs going to India, or the chosen ones already there. Upward mobility is a thing of the past.
