What level leaders had knowledge of this prior to 2/17? I'm a leader and this was not shared with me until 2/17.

Is buyout available to Optum employees?
Grade 30 and above (Grade 30 is Director) were told last week during a meeting with Mike Baker. Grade 32 (VP) and above within Mike Bakers hierarchy and their Human Resource reps have been working on this since the end of last year. Cost saving goals and how to meet them would have been discussed for months prior to rolling this out. With the last day worked being May 1st and then the statement that all last days would occur by November 1st tells us that they have booked some of the dollar savings from this in his 2025 budget and then booked 100% savings for his 2026 budget.
Just a point of clarification, I would assume when you state "directors and above knew", you mean directors of departments that were impacted by this.
I am a director, but had ZERO knowledge of this, until it hit outside social media. But....my department was not impacted by this, so really no need to be in the know.
Directors knew last week when the email was sent for the meeting. I have 4 site directors so I hope they go as well. One site director above them and I hope he goes as well. Their salaries are higher so if the department is closing no need for them. They will layoff people with higher salaries because it saves them more money. You can try and transfer but I highly doubt there will be the same position. Whom ever stated they are a leader you might be able to get a lesser title and take a pay cut because you won’t get the same pay. So if you are a leader that took part in any firing karma is a bi--h! You guys got so indoctrinated into believing a company that does not care who you are ? Welcome to the real world along with the rest of us…

Directors and above. These meeting shave been happening for a while now My friend is a director and filled me in yesterday.
I believe it was only Directors and above who knew before 2/17. Everyone else was informed that day.
