Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Is OGA having layoffs.

Seems like the only employees under the UHG umbrella who have job security are OGA employees.

Ironically - Wipro (where most this Offshore work goes) is hiring. Shocker. 🙄

@fk+1jmfzagfh OGA in not “flourishing”. Their attrition is massive and constant. The quality of their work is atrocious. It takes 3 of them to do the job of one American, and the quality still su-ks.
The massive remediation that took place a couple of years ago was because OGA was so far in the hole of backlog (6 digits).
Their lack of incompetence cost UHG millions and millions of dollars in fines and loss of accounts.
Yet, UHG keeps pouring money into OGA.
OGA employees are the only ones at UHG who have job security.
They are cheap labor getting indentured servant pittance for wages as compared to onshore staff. They have to use translation software just to do the basic job tasks. Optum works hard to put them in jobs that do not involve conversation with American members.
This is how little UHG really cares about the members/customers.
You know how frustrating it is to go the the Help(less) desk website, and have to use that stupid chat tool, Max?
Well, Max is translation software to convert English to Filipino/Tagalog.
They have extreme difficulty with anything more than basic questions, because they don’t grasp the concept of questions, they don’t understand context.
That’s why it takes hour/days to get real service until it’s finally escalated to one of the seasoned/skilled onshore staff.

OGA is the reason for the layoffs. Period.
These employees are all being replaced by cheap sweat shop labor.

Of course not. We don’t understand their plan but they’re saving money so they really don’t care. Unfortunately we’ll see more of them. OGA is poorly paid, which only results in them being poorly trained. with our current climate the treatment they get from US members is only getting worse. I kinda feel bad for them.

OGA is the reason for the layoffs! Cheap labor. They pay them pennies on the dollar compared to the sh-t money we actually make....and they are thankful they are getting paid that. It's like hiring kids in a China sweatshop.
