Utilize your FMLA prior to putting in a resignation letter or leaving for an external position. Its a benefit you are allowed and there is no law that prevents you from utilizing your FMLA at one employer while working for another. Use your benefits!!!

Not d-mb or completely unpaid. You have sick and vacation time and short term disability. Depression, anxiety disorders and ptsd are covered. If youre leaving you are leaving this pay and benefits on the table? Not me!

FMLA is unpaid leave - not sure what purpose it will serve.
What kind of documentation do you need to qualify for FMLA?
Do NOT feel guilty using up ALL the benefits you are entitled towards.
That would be a very smart play in case your new job doesn't work out.
