Does anyone have insight into which departments within the orgs that are affected by the voluntary severance option would see involuntarily layoffs first if they don't meet their quota (I'm assuming they will not).

Optum layoffs were last month
Well sounds like this is United Healthcare only and not the Optum side, since nobody in Optum has heard of any of this.
I’m with E&I and nobody in my section was included. In fact my department is currently hiring.
All teams have been notified as it was on one big corporate call. I don't work for UHC but I know lots of people in my family who do. Is Escalation Management going to be effected?
Offer was not related to LOB MR, CS, and EI all got offers up to grade 32. That means phones, support, design, learning, design, back office and almost all supervisors/ managers. I am with hearing and hearing is not included because the whole department is already leaving UHG. 10 people I know got offers and they are all in different segments. I hate finding out because my job is secure with the Joint venture Hearing entered. We don’t work for UHG currently or we would be on the chopping block too.
Well I have a 20 min town hall meeting schedule today at 12 so I’m sure this is for offer.
I’m with M&R and we all got the offer. It’s heartbreaking. Been with UHC 3 years and just scored a ‘5’ on my yearly review. I love my role and take pride in what I do. I see that you have to agree to the package but you can also be denied?! What the he’ll does that mean? If you’re denied then you get to keep your job? Really didn’t need this stress in my life.
300,000??? Did you mean 30,000? The total number of employees at UnitedHealth Group last year was 440,000
Have all affected employees been notified or are there more meetings to come?
All of E&I and up to grade 32. Like 300,000 employees got the notice including member and provider side too. Not just front line agents. Up to grade 32 is pretty epic
From what I’m seeing mostly, C&S, M&R, and E&I. I’m with the C&S provider services side but haven’t heard anything yet.
I would assume any line of business that supports Medicaid, unfortunately. Due to the cuts that are currently being made.
