No, they are offering us terrible severance pay that focuses mainly on those of us that work Medicare and retirement as of now. This is about 30,000 of us currently, but will eventually trickle down to more departments, as they are trying to save money because their approximate 300billion in revenue per year isn't enough. So, our jobs will be moved overseas.... So shameful.....

This is so sad, but UHC CEOs incl Andrew Witty never cared about their employees, those processing claims and dealing with daily changes, bet if all adjusters striked not 1 CEO could process a claim, but yup they're going 70% offshore and 30% onshore. As if foreigners know how American Medicaid and all works, let alone the language barriers. How about last in, first out..so the new CEO needs to go, his 9-10 million dollar salary is more than the whole dept.

@a8+1jmb2n7d7. this isn't the same product as those companies, so no, that's not happening without visibility going all the way to the senate. all American data is going offshore. Americans are paying for this healthcare. the CEO and most of the higher levels are NOT American and their countries have a public healthcare. so no, a union will not let them close up shop. nice try.

TO THE PERSON WHO SUGGESTED UNIONIZING: That would just make them close shop entirely and go completely offshore. Good example, anywhere where they tried Unionizing with Amazon, they just shut down in that area. If we tried to unionize they would just layoff everyone and go completely offshore. Yeah sure they would probably get fined and blah blah blah, but ultimately would save money just paying the fine and go completely offshore. BAD IDEA. Please do not suggest this garbage, thanks.

If employees were smart. If UHC is pushing for voluntary resignations, a union could potentially help protect employees by negotiating or pushing back against these efforts. A union strike might also apply pressure on the employer and affect their decision-making process.

Unions often advocate for the rights and job security of their members, and they can use collective bargaining to negotiate better terms or conditions. If the voluntary resignations are seen as a way to reduce workforce size improperly or pressure employees, the union might challenge this approach. They can organize strikes, legal challenges, or negotiate with UHC to prevent job losses. The specific influence of a union in this situation would depend on the terms of the union contract and labor laws in place.

It’s mainly C&S, M&R. Since the current administration is he-l bent on eliminating Medicaid, SnaP and Chip no need for those employees. Guess we know where UHC stands on this! More reasons to hate is

When you say Financial Protection Services, are you referring to anyone who works in Life/AD&D/LTD? Meaning all departments that handle these products?
