Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

You are in charge of your life

Some of you seem to have forgotten that. It's not Fiserv's fault that you're miserable. It's your fault because you're making a choice every single day to continue working at the place that is making you miserable. What will it take for you to take your fate into your own hands?

It's a typical abusive relationship, and the abused is afraid to leave because they'll never be able to find someone else.

@qsf+1jmF4grW i do agree with some of your sentiments here, like people shouldn’t give this company their time and effort, but it’s still fiserv’s fault for making its employees miserable

People should definitely leave if they can. But it’s still fiserv’s fault for making people unhappy and depressed in the first place with their sh!t ways.
And people have been quitting left and right for a year now yet they still haven’t learned a thing. In fact, it’s only gotten worse.
But yes, if you can leave, leave. Start job searching. Don’t stay at this godforsaken place if you can. I just don’t agree with saying fiserv has no fault here. This company needs some major overhaul. But that will probably never happen.

"Your logic is giving fiserv a perpetual pass to continue being sht"

  • no, your logic is giving fiserv a perpetual pass, because they know you aren't going to do anything about it.

If you don't have the ba--s to go out and find better then you deserve to sit in your misery and whine about it on the internet.

“It’s not fiserv’s fault that you’re miserable”….. but it is Fiserv’s fault because fiserv is a terrible backwards sht place to work at. Your logic is giving fiserv a perpetual pass to continue being sht, because hey, if people are unhappy with rotten incompetent leadership and outdated ways, they can just leave!
Yeah…not how that works.
And by the way, leaving is easier said than done, even though many of us clearly want to. That said, I do think if people have an opportunity to leave, they should strongly consider it. Fiserv doesn’t deserve any good employees.

Some people are stuck, unable to find a job locally. Have a family, kids entrenched in local schools.

It's not always easy just to quit, even if you are miserable. You have to keep a roof over your head and feed/clothe your family.

I do agree. Maybe some of you are looking, but this sh-t has been going on a long time. If you haven't found a job by now in this market, you're either not trying very hard or your resume needs some work. Go ahead and downvote me, but if you're really that unhappy, take control of your own destiny and leave.

Thanks for the insight…..but this is a site about “layoffs”….you know, the ones of us that did enjoy our jobs, our managers, and the work we did….but got cut for whatever business reason. That leaves the people left behind miserable, but mainly out of fear of being let go too….and picking up the extra slack due to the shrinking of the work force. It’s not always easy just leaving and finding another job, that takes a lot of time an effort for those already overworked.

It's the old "Just get another job" schtick.
You must be able to read minds to know that nobody who's miserable is actively searching for another job. Cool powers, brah!
