Why the F$$K did we spend millions of dollars renovating Laksise to just move out of it? Who made that genius decision?

If you think the buildout in SR Lakeside was done for CVX tenants then you are sorely mistaken; take a look again, this will be desirable for the next tenants.
Nothing happens by accident. You don’t have any idea what the deal looked like and how much we spent or what incentives we got. Just because it looks one way on the surface to you doesn’t mean you’re right about what went down.
The move to Lakeside was self serving. MW and BOD sold Chevron Park to the same people who are the landlords for Lakeside. They developed the property for landlord, so they can wiggle out of 5 year lease. They will do the same with Houston HQ after Modernization Project. The difference is they own buildings in Houston. They will modernize, so they can sell in 5-10 years.
MW & MN take full accountability ;)
After creating a gorgeous executive office space at Lakeside that they never used, they’re spending another several million to renovate the top floors of 140HOU into executive offices, eliminating the only large and high ceilinged conference rooms we have.
