How many here have a mandatory meeting scheduled Monday?
I am one hour that does
yewp had it at 10 am cst
How do you know it’s all going offshore
At a lost for words, I heard its all going offshore
Is anyone from specialty benefits affected, namely vision and dental yet? Do we know?
Deadline to apply for the voluntary resignation is March 3rd. If you go to uhc's internet and search for vrsp, there is a SharePoint with all the information on there. There is no negotiating the severance package.
Meeting over, voluntary resignation separation program was announced.
Voluntary resignation separation program is what it’s called. Payout is terrible
Me... I'm in appeals
When is a response needed for the buyout? Can you negotiate the amount they payout?
Buyout meeting today, for UHC O&E. Money paid out depends on pay grade and years of service. They're doing it to mitigate layoffs later in the year. But there's no magic number to mitigate layoffs, it's all based on savings. So if a higher pay grade takes the voluntary program, it'll mitigate the need to layoff people in a lower than them, supposedly.
Meeting done for specialty benefits ops. It was a buyout offer. What other teams was this offered to? Ben Line’s team only or include Mike Bakers team?
So it’s a buyout meeting?
Does anyone have buyout details?
Can confirm, this leak was in fact correct.
True layoffs are usually Thursdays, but if it’s a buyout, that’s voluntary and they will be giving time for people to decide. Very different from a layoff
Theres a protocol for layoffs and it's not monday meetings. This can't be it friends!
Some people are in a meeting now. Waiting to see if anyone says anything.
It’s hard to focus when you know you’re about to lose your job and know that we will likely lose our apartment and car within a few months because unemployment won’t pay out much. Not nearly enough to survive
Hugs, guys, hugs. You can do this. Breathe, relax and focus
I can tell it’s coming looking at the meeting invite because they have senior people team on the meeting invite. I can barely focus and just want to cry. I know people get laid off all the time but it took me forever to move from the Optum side to this side. And it took me forever to get my Optum job originally.
I don’t even want to think about it. The cost of living keeps going up, I’m not sure how I’ll manage to survive if/when I get laid off. And the facet that I have to work all day and get the news at the end of my day makes me stressed
Team manager sent the invite during the weekend, entitled operations and experience program update. This is it, folks.
If you are not invited to the meeting which I guess means you are not on the list? But can you ask for a package regardless of not being on the List?
My team just received it as well.
No meeting invitation in my area yet. Maybe scheduled for another day/time IDK
My meeting is 11 am EST.
Our invite was sent EOD Friday for Monday morning - which made for a great weekend. Chat is disabled and our offshore partners are not included. Whatever it is, it can’t be good and they did not go about this in a great way.
What time are these meetings for everyone?
I do, the title is eerie operation & experience program update - full team. So many questions. Invited was sent Sunday night for Monday morning.
Guess we shall see tomorrow. Best of luck all
Everyone onshore reporting up through Kristine Samsel appear to be impacted by the meeting on Monday.
Seems to be operation departments with no ryme or reason
Unless an invite came late Friday. None in MBR Appeals yet. With no merit reviews been completed yet either this could possibly be true.
I am in core operations and my team has a meeting. It appears to be everyone onshore that reports up through my director.
What dept/teams received this email?
What dept is the "leaders" meeting in, and what's considered leaders (GL)? Is this before or after the all team meeting?
I got 2 - a leaders meeting and an all team meeting...
I have a mandatory meeting Monday snd that’s why I am here.
What organizations for everyone that received invites? All falling under Ops/Mike Baker? Received a meeting invite for Specialty Benefits Operations.
I have an hour meeting, and not everyone but many in the department, and can't really make sense of the individuals that were invited versus not invited. It seems like there is partial teams on this meeting. Wouldn't a buyout have to be offered to full teams or apply to all within specific grade levels? Assuming the entire team on the meeting isn't being let go since its an hour, is that a realistic assumption? And wouldn't those be one on one meetings?
