After seeing what Trump did for federal workers, MW should up the package. Who would’ve guessed that the DOGE package would be better than CVX. I knew that I should’ve taken that job with BLM.

Federal employees are paid by unlimited federal funds. CVX is limited on unlimited funds silly...
Since DJT has decimated all departments that protect workers and citizens, people impacted by DOGE will likely never see a severance package. DJT has also taken control of the DOJ so what legal action can be taken? Therefore, CVX could likely fire you with no severance package if they choose to do so. You won't have any rights, People really should have read the Project 2025 Playbook before voting for DJT.
3 weeks per year severance would help the people who will get hurt the most by getting left standing. Mid-career employees with family responsibilities and less flexibility than the young ones and less financially set than the older ones.
Some federal employees who accepted Trump’s buyout offer are now being notified that their buyout has been denied, and they are being terminated instead.
The HR site for severance says that the minimum severance regardless of years of service will be 8 weeks.
Trust me, the extra $11k for unemployment will be added to my maths.
They’re making tough choices on cutting employees that are just making it, meanwhile one of them is on stage wearing $50,000 Cartier watch.
huh
The idea of 2 weeks for every 1 year of service is actually not 100% accurate because the federal law, WARN act, requires Chevron to pay the employees for 2 months (60 days) once the employees have been notified they have been laid off. Legally Chevron must also allow laid off employees to collect unemployment.
