They keep saying they will notify those who will be in scope for layoffs. In this case, who wouldn't be in scope???

A handful of groups already restructured and are out of scope. If you are in one, you already know it.
New digital scholars are out of scope because of a bazillion dollars we spent on them. The first group of them who have paid their 5 years of dues by changing the company around will be in scope though.
S and T. most likely natural attribution there without need for layoffs.
S &T = Shale & Tight or Supply & Trading ?
From 2020 experience, few people will be out of scope, but those that are have some or all of these characteristics: managers earmarked for the next organization (cronies and flunkies, not necessarily skilled), high-pots who need to be saved, anyone hired by DEI. That's it. Again, a relatively small number. The key for out of scope is that there's already a job description that "these and only these" people "critical skills" for. Oh, and if you're thinking along the lines of wrongful termination, think again. The new organization will smudge job titles and positions so much that "your position has been eliminated", which gives you no legal recourse.
Hamroic W. is untouchable, not in scope.
Nothing to worry about unless you are male, pale or stale. If you are all three, my condolences.
Innovation has been told they are out of scope due to going through a reorg last year.
A few other orgs that had qualifying events in 2024 will also be out of scope.
MW, EB and MN are out of scope
Out of scope would be people selected to be part of the new org structure , managers team leads and executives. It could also be anyone who may be protected legally or anyone in certain programs like Digital Scholars or Horizons or MET
Exciting whites?
I keep seeing a lot of people starting jobs in Argentina. So they are out of scope.
India is not in scope (obviously)
Now get back to work and train them to take your job !!!

DEI hires out of scope
Because of the large quantity of people being laid off they will perform the layoffs in 2 phase in 2025. Establishing transition positions that may go into 2026 with specific last days on payroll. Ex: so a BU may not be in phase 1 they could be in phase 2.
