No matter the case, none of these other companies operate with so many manager, engineers or technicians.
They operate to a build cost, which prevents the bloated fabs that Intel still has, starting with too many tools, which get too much maintenance.
Could see entire departments removed over time. For example, TSMC has a centralized Yield department and doesn't have those people at each fab. Same is true for development work, at TD and at the fabs (TSMC doesn't do that work at their fabs).
Intel TD spends more on R&D than the rest of the industry combined. Much of that is pure waste, which never leads to marketable product.
So expect a version of DOGE to take a chainsaw to the Fabs and TD.
