No it does not confirm layoffs that were supposedly to happen in mid March. This is a realignment, but no reduction in workforce. I understand Follett isn't perfect, but some of you grasp at straws.
the announcement from SB today confirms your cuts. Reduction of a GVP and a couple of Regions [retirements]. Canada GVP invades USA. Looks like FHE dissolved the HBCU group.
They also got rid of a couple corporate positions, including a graphic designer and someone who led NIL.
Not really a layoff in mid March.

How many more can they cut in the field?

May I ask whom "they" are and what are your sources? Did you hear this first hand or did someone say it and now it is gospel?
This rumor seems to start a couple of times a year, but nothing really comes of it after. I know it happened in 2021 when they eliminated all part timers. Then after PT's were back they hours were hacked to bare minimum.
I just want to know who the sources are.
I just heard that they're culling 10% of all staff week of April 15, and then another 10% in June. Let the bloodbath ensue! Apparent it won't hurt too badly because a lot of the cuts will be due to just letting a bunch of contracts end with the school year.
Be more worried about if JRC will do to Follett what the private equity company that bought Joanne fabrics did to them.
JRC is going to make money for it's investors.
