I don't even care about layoffs anymore. If it happens, it happens. What I'm tired of is people glamorizing being overworked. It's not normal to work weekends and it's not normal to work holidays. You should not have to skip your kid's birthday because there is something that can't wait at work. Stop bragging about working 60+ hour weeks. That's not normal and it's not worth it. Get your lives back. I stopped doing all of that and I feel like a new man. They didn't fire me, either. The worst that can happen is that they'll pay me to leave. At this point, I will welcome that.

Anything above 60 hours a week is a RBA noncompliance. Pardon my cynicism but i don't think you actually work for the company.
I didn't realize there was anybody still putting in >40 hours a week. 10 years ago >40 was routine but the culture has been drastically changed since then. I used to be the last one in if I arrived at 8am back then and managers would monitor your presence in the office until 4. Times have changed. Compared to how it was I can hardly believe what people get away with now but I'm certainly not hoping for a return to the rigid past. Policies like "unlimited time off" kind of set the stage. I'm thinking you have been driving your overwork on yourself and it seems you realized it late. My perception on things is that a large number of people are quiet quitting already. Dialing it in from home and doing the minimum and only what is specifically asked of them.
Do you guys even work. Most ppl in Longmont that I know are busy in day trading and movie watching ever weekday . You must be joking about over work when ppl here in Longmont don’t work at all beyond 5pm
