Been looking for new positions, so, I'm on LinkedIn again. I have a bunch of intel recruiters on my connections from my first time job searching. All of them are hiring NCGs from bachelor's to PhDs. About a 1000 open positions on LinkedIn. Mostly for Interns and NCGs. Layoffs are most likely going to be for experienced people.

Oh good, for a moment I thought you said “Intel is actively hiring NPCs”. Thank goodness that is not the case.

If I'm not mistaken, making chips in the USA requires people.

LinkedIn job postings are not accurate. I know some company is already in hiring freezing, but still lots of job posting at LinkedIn.
Other companies have frozen hiring including making offers to RCG’s. If Intel is hiring then positions are being vacated for the new hires.
You're assuming that there is a 'next-generation' to lead.
Intel is quickly spiraling into irrelevance.
It's called RECYCLING
Companies never stop hiring NCGs even during layoffs. Those are the people they hope to groom into next generation leaders.
