Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Didn’t Chevron move from California to Texas to prevent this?

Supposedly because it’s more “business friendly”.

You don't need two large domestic corporate offices if you're cutting half the jobs or shipping them to India.

More broadly, shifting office locations is a very effective way of getting older, less mobile employees to quit.

I imagine the opportunity to leave California was largely a secondary consideration.

Just copying Exxon and trying to keep up

  1. Exxon fired workers and sent jobs to India. Now we do same.
  2. Exxon closed Headquarters in Richardson and consolidated to Houston. Now we do same.

If your goal is to reduce employees in the USA there is no need for so much office space.

Read the Exxon layoff board. Next we can expect out insurance plan to be cut and other benefit cuts.

Lol look in the mirror bun. You blame everyone else for your problems and never take responsibility. All I hear is constant whining and how unfairly you’re being treated.

Hate to break it to you but the president, whomever he or she is, has nothing to do with your incompetence and the reason why your sorry pathetic miserable whining lazy slacker self will be shown the door. But good riddance either way.

CVX would be in much better shape if they dismissed all the DJT supporters, they apparently are incapable of telling basic right from wrong.

Nope, you have to blame the current president for everything. That's what you did before.

More to come. But no major changing of the guard over the last 15 years and this is the result. Lots of talk but no change and any BU level. And promote of a-s kissers.

Blame all of this on the current administration in Washington. . The fools who voted for DT believed he was pro-oil. That guy doesn’t know what he is doing at the higher level. Drill baby drill and anti climate change is against where the oil companies are going with strategy. It has to lead to layoffs.
