Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Competitor focus & no engine?

First hour of SETH: our competitors are better & so we will adopt similar org models to be more attractive to investors

Q&A: why is our (capital) philosophy better than, for example, xom?… we are good & need to not be distracted by what others are doing

—————————
How does Engine staffing play into all this? Where was that in the discussion? Does Engine mean that quoted 15-20% aggregate will actually be deeper in the US?
—————————
They talked a lot about accountability but provided no examples of executives being held accountable. Have they deferred stock options, taken pay cuts, or anything meaningful that impacts them rather than the rank and file?

ENGINE won’t get mentioned because it doesn’t sound “American “ and presents poorly on the Company.
Same reason why tech companies who announced layoffs are claiming it’s because of AI, yet if you know anything about AI it’s not ready to replace all those employees. But it sounds better in the current environment
