Wait til the check hits the account.
What is happening with this industry? Jobs can still be found, at least in TX, but they're paying 20-30% less, unless you have the right skillet to work for an Independent E&P or can transfer to Tech.
@bb yes, I also retired. XOM is so awful compared to where I am now. Also I heard:
BP is so awful compared to where I am now.
Shell is so awful compared to where I am now.
CVX is so awful compared to where I am now.
You get the point.
Policy says you need to be on payroll through Feb 28 but March 1 would be even better. You can use any outstanding vacation balance to get you there.
Good luck! I left recently and couldn’t be happier! Chevron is so awful compared to where I am now

I know a person that tried the two job thing and was found out and lost both jobs. Someone from his first job went to a partner meeting and saw him there. Once the person who saw him got back to the office he mentioned he did not know the guy had left to work at the other company. Turns out neither did his boss at his first job. They called the partner and both companies fired him.
You Need to see this month through.
work the 2 jobs if you can until march 1st - use pto/sick days
March 1st to be safe.
