While Mike is Watching Landman, Midland Just Keeps Having Incidents, Can Someone Help

Guys,

We just keep having incidents in the MCBU and all we are ask to do is figure out how to not make them a company recordable. What is going on? I think we need to bring BG out of retirement and his crew to get things back on the straight and narrow.

I don't feel like I am working for Chevron anymore but some Mom and Pop that doesn't care about their employees or contactors. Anyone got any ideas on how to fix things?

Things have been bad since DM took over. He doesn't believe in the human performance concepts nor does he care about safety in any way unless it doesn't cause any efficiency issues. It fits with the motto's of his previous companies, get er done, safely if possible, as long as it doesn't cost any time or money.

I'd rather work at a mom & pop! There are actually many mom and pops that care more about their employees and aren't offshoring jobs out of country! Give bigger bonuses, fully paid insurance premiums and care about your family. Only problem is they are all getting goggled up by corporate overlords

If it's truly an issue and they might eventually endanger life, if management won't do anything I'm sure some news reporters would love to cover it.

I would not advise using the 1-800 hotline as it is controlled by management and they only investigate what they want to. Even if they do investigate management covers up the results, just as MCBU management team does. Good luck.

The safest thing to do at this point is close the office down

If there truly is an effort to bury what should be recordable incidents, you should contact the confidential employee hotline. It's 24/7 and they HAVE to do an investigation. 1-800-284-3015. Hope this helps!

It went downhill when the focus went from recordables to SIF focus. I know leaders who don’t even know what is a TRIR. Probables are a joke as they can mean whatever you want them to. SIF’s themselves are rolled back based on the whim of management. Moving to SIF focus left too much of a cushion for little things to fester and now we are seeing the results in higher impact incidents. No one is being held accountable unless literally maims or ki-ls them.
