Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

PDC Bonus

While Chevron employees are celebrating their 1.1 CIP, us PDC employees are laughing at you with our 1.5 CIP factor.

@dk+1jkm53jaf, the issues at NBL were a lack of vision, poor leadership, and a workforce that didn’t get the job done. The typos in your post are an example of the kind of sloppiness that pervaded. It’s no surprise that the assets acquired from NBL are now thriving under Chevron’s leadership.

PDC’s operational efficiency, greenhouse gas emissions, and free cash flow numbers were impressive and will remain unmatched in the DJ. The difference is simple, competent employees who could execute well and deliver market leading results.

Noble was and always has been a threat to us. The dont follow the beurocracy and actually bring value. That’s why they won’t last here. PDC not so much, but Hess would be the same way

Still tool a huge payout to come to here. Also, got the HR reminder that our protections end in August. I’m guessing we don’t get cut in the first round but get butchered after August. No way they are cutting us when they have to pay us a year salary and any unvested LTI.

As for the hate comments…I’ve seen amazing performers and poor ones from both companies. Lots of hate got stirred up when Noble people got looked over for Chevron and PDC placements. Many of them didn’t deserve it. Some high performers who kept the company running got bulldozed during the merger…even as an outsider I see this. Wasn’t fair at all to legacy noble high performers.

@cs+1jkm53jaf, being a Nobler and gloating about conquest is pathetic. NBL was acquired too, and for a lesser price than PDCE, with more debt. The thing PDC employees have going for them is that they are skilled, capable, and will thrive in any organization. I can’t say that about people like you. I hope you survive this and get some replacement knee pads in the process, since the ones you have from 2020 are pretty worn out.

Conquered by mediocrity I suppose. I used to have such a high regard for Chevron before I worked here. Whatever I guess. It's a job and the pay checks clear.

It helps to make the “conquered” feel better! I’m good with that.

Maybe I need to go reread my compensation letter from September but I thought it said we were subject to the same CIP multiplier that Chevron employees are....

@a6, Haven't you heard? Unlike all the other company's employees who post on this site about layoff info. the CVX employees are so internet illiterate that this is basically their only social media outlet. FACT.

A 1.5 multiplier was used for the 2023 bonus for PDC employees. The CIP will apply to the 2024 bonus. The bonus % of salary will be the PDC level and not the Chevron % range.

At what point does this have to do with layoffs. The board is called Chevron Corp Layoffs.
