Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

It's Time

After 30 years, multiple co. name changes, multiple CEO's, 15x managers in the last 9 years, stagnant pay for 10 years even with top reviews, it's time to move on !
I'll miss my colleagues but nothing else. Its been an absolute sh*t show for the last 10 years and management (at all levels) have failed to turn this ship around.
If you have more than a couple of years or not just sitting it out till retirement I'd advise you all to brush up your CV and move on.

It's not limited to the CEO. But they cannot complain when everyone follows their lead. Managers have forgotten how you manage a company and how to get things done both for the benefit of DXC and our clients. Meanwhile the staff are running about trying to do what they think is right. Only to be told to undo it because nobody asked for that. Or to stop doing it because something else is now more important. But most have given up and sitting there with their arms folding saying let us know when you have decided.

The deadwood is now the CEO and his new cronies from IBM…. They were deadwood at IBM and our CEO who doesn’t know wtf he is doing has just given them new life. They can now further ruin DXC as they did IBM. Walking HR violations and others who have never worked in IT services now sit with a CEO who has never worked for an IT services company…. What could possibly go wrong??

The deadwood are only deadwood because the company won't get rid of them. You can make endless mistakes, have completely forgotten how to do your job. Even tell the client total lies. Short of swearing at them, and and burning down the server room. Those people are still here!! Most of them got a pay rise just the same as everyone else. The good do either leave, or realised there's no point trying any more. Just loose your access, break your laptop. You'll be out of action for months while they faff around trying to find someone left to fix it for you.

The good ones quit. The deadwood remain.
Unless retirement is approaching.
DXC failed their huge UTC account. Not a mystery why.
Can't run a business with 10% giving their all and the remainder of the team useless.
Management just takes the pay and fails to enforce or do even the basic leadership functions... Approving time cards just wasn't enough when you have people who lie about work time and surf the internet all day. Netflix was popular. When people were actually in the building.

I left after almost 10 years, and honestly, it was the best decision I’ve ever made. My new job made me realize just how outdated my skills had gotten—I've learned more in a few months than I did in nearly a decade at DXC. The only thing I miss is some of the great people I worked with, but the management was a mess. Now, I get to watch that sinking ship from a distance while making the most of the better opportunities that came with leaving. If you’re under 50, don’t waste your time—there’s a better future out there.

Congrats

DXC is by far, the WORST place I ever worked for mental health. DXC must know this, as there are lot of many pretend courses and "help" for employee mental health. If it wasn't a problem, why is there so much attention on it?

When I look back on my time at DXC, I noticed that a lot of the older generation were taken on as new employees. Was it perhaps because that they were unlikely to leave (young family etc)? MAkes easier to treat them like utter SH 1 T ?....... I'll leave that for you to decide.

The only thing that made working at DXC worthwhile, was the WFR payment.

This sentiment is shared. 2025 is surely the year everyone quits. It was time to move on 5-10 years ago for most. The only question is retire super early, try for something else. I am finding it near impossible to justify to anyone why I am still with DXC. A company nobody has heard of that has nothing interesting or rewarding to do. That pays an insult wage. Where nobody respects their colleagues, managers or staff and basically couldn't care less what they are doing or not doing either professionally or personally. It really is a sh-t company.
