Thread regarding Lumen Technologies layoffs

Question on bonus and layoff

If you get laid off before March 15 but in 2025 where you are getting bonus for 2024 deliverables and goals. Do you still get bonus or are you out of luck ?

I am counting on that bonus to pay for some medical bills. I am concerned, Lumen might layoff of folks in next few weeks to avoid payout. I have been here 5 years from ATT, and I thought it was bad there but this company execs are heartless in decision making and not giving a cr-p about it’s workforce

I resigned in may 2023 but still received a bonus from the previous year. Wasnt much and was taxed up but was still direct deposited...had to make some calls to find out what it was.

bonus payout is the beginning of March. Hold out until that direct deposit hits the bank, then quit.

You wont get any bonus if you resign. But try to negotiate a sign on bonus with your new employer if you can.

Withholding rates are not the same as actual taxation. Supplemental wages may be withheld at a 22% flat rate or your regular withholding (up to payroll), but you'll pay the regular rates when you file for the year.

you should get the bonus. Just remember you will really only get about half your severance because it will be heavily taxed. For instance if they pay you out 10k, you will really only get about 5k after taxes

They have to pay you for 2024. Potentially a prorated 2025 bonus as well.

If you worked all of 24 you will get the bonus. Hopefully your bills aren’t to much.
