Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Kinecta Bank (Xerox Federal Credit Union)

I know this is off topic, but many Xerox people are members of Kinecta since it migrated from the old Xerox Federal Credit Union. Today was the last straw and (as painful as it is to switch banks these days) I'm closing this account!.
"Congratulations on your ProtectPlus benefits!
Your checking account has been upgraded for you to receive added benefits with ProtectPlus. Explore your new benefits by clicking on the banner above your accounts in Online Banking or the Mobile App, or by selecting ProtectPlus Benefits in the dropdown menu, under Accounts." This was AUTOMATICALLY "upgraded" for $10/month unless you keep $10,000 in the account. What do you get? Cell phone protection, telehealth services , auto club membership and more. WTF ????

I just wanted to post here to fellow Xerox people and warn them. You have to go the branch to go back to classic checking (since the phones have gone crazy and they just hang up on you).

Pardon the tangent....

Free with caveats.

Kinecta Federal Credit Union offers a Classic Checking account that comes with early direct deposit and free overdraft protection, allowing you to link your checking account to your savings account or apply for a line of credit.

To avoid the $4.95 monthly service fee, you must meet specific requirements after the first three months, such as maintaining an average monthly balance of $1,500, receiving direct deposits or mobile check deposits totaling $250 or more each month, making 10 or more debit card purchases per month, having a Kinecta credit card in good standing, or having a Kinecta mortgage loan or auto loan in good standing.

The fee is also waived if you are under the age of 26, over the age of 62, or active military.

Is Kinecta what Xceed is called now?

A few years ago, Xceed allowed some scammer to take 10 grand from my account without even requiring a signature. They made me jump through all kinds of hoops to get my money back. As soon as I got my money back in my hands, I closed out my account and started doing business with my local bank.

Kinecta does su-k, but they mailed out a notice about this a month ago. I changed mine to a classic account weeks ago. You should have changed it.

Could never understand the benefit of the Xerox Credit Union then the push to sign up for Kinecta. I already have a bank I can withdraw cash from at multiple locations.
