Can anyone chime in on the 401k hit I'm taking with this latest rebadge. I am literally already not able to pay bills on time. Single mom of 2 boys. Been committed to the comp. For 13 years . Now being told I have to pay my 401 k loan off in 90 days or be in default or pay the penalties and taxes! I am on fire about this. In between the panic attacks! How can they do this to sooo many of us, it feels so wrong . Can this be right ? I'm disgusted, hurt and so much more but mainly scared of loosing everything I worked for. :(

I got rif'd from Elevance in early May 2024. Took me several months to find a job, but it's a better job and a WAY better situation for me. The upper management at EH is HORRIBLE. They do not care one iota about their people despite the company making billions in revenue. Gail B, the ceo, talks a big game about great culture and accountability, and work/life balance but it's all bs. I'm so much better off away from them. Friends still there are being moved into roles with Deloitte but were told you have 5 days to accept it or you're simply let go (and no severance). They had other layoffs in the MN office and other offices over the summer and over the past month. Used to be decent place to work 5+ yrs ago...not anymore. Corporate vampires from a foreign country (you can guess which one) are largely in the managerial and upper managerial positions, and when that happens, the culture and morale get destroyed, and layoffs are inevitable.

Don’t let inept leaders and HR destroy your spirit. This will all eventually turn out to develop character and strength in you. I remember seeing the entire DBA team getting rebadged to IBM (Kyndryl) one morning years ago.

He-l Evan s is being destroyed by McKinsey. May be another competitor is behind all of this.

UST global is a horrible company that takes too much advantage. Deloitte May be better. But still, this will be more like a forced marriage and nobody will get supplemental pay… RIF is much better option in my opinion.
