Allstate India Taking Over

More than half the job postings are in India. How long do we think we have in US? :’)

@7pk+1jkg74k30. That’s right. The quality has gone downhill since the majority of the workforce had been moved there. They just can’t think independently and very hierarchical. Everyone wants to be a manager, but don’t want to excel in their current role. They are nice folks, but due to their work-culture, extremely hard to deal with. We find it hard to even hire people with necessary skills and just end up compromising.

Don't forget to change your comprehensive with no glass to a selected option of $0 comprehensive with glass. I'm sure the customers will all get this correct with no problems at all.

Nice people but cr-p work. If they continue to use them for everything, I hope the customers leave.

"Donaald" is a simp for Modi. He is getting classes from Modi on how to become an effective dictator and not be stupid. In return is paying with US jobs being shipped to India so that Modi can do more chest thumping (all 52 inches of it) back home.

They spend more time figuring out ways to skew their metrics than anything else. Doesn’t matter if it’s done right as long as it’s done. Super condescending group to be so d-mb. Not an individual thought from anyone in India.

Bring it to Donald’s attention if you’re that worried.

We haven’t been able to hire someone in the US for over a year now. Heck, there were a few let go here and the positions opened up in India for our team. All the comments are right, it’s all about having yes people.

I also noticed, the culture is quite different there. A lot of unprofessionalism, everyone is political and wants to become a boos rather than focusing on the task on hand & doing it right. Just exhausting to deal with, every day. But, the current IT market is also very bad, so we just have to ride this on and try to push back as much as possible.

@a8+1jkg74k30 Allstate IT died in '23 or before.
We are saddled with leaders in IT that are just politcal creeps and yes men. Zulfi and crew are working the backhander circuit and making sure all the right big vendors get plenty of money. Meanwhile death by a thousand cuts while everything is shipped over to India with all its gross human rights and class issues.

It feels like they've already taken over. I'm dealing with ASC at the moment, and some of the stuff I'm hearing in meetings is genuinely concerning, and it's all coming from our offshore "partners". There's no pushback on anything. Just get code out there. The quality of support product that we're offering our customers is getting worse by the day and will drive customers away from Allstate as an insurance provider. Would you stay with a company if you logged on to your account and couldn't do anything with the product or service you've purchased? No, neither would I, but that's what ASC is giving us. Hurrah!

We haven't been able to hire in USA for years. Just quarterly RIFs since the '23 blood bath. We hire interns that our dept couldn't ever hire as full time if they were graduating.

It's the culture Allstate wants. For all the claptrap from senior leaders about leading from your seat etc...they don't want pushback on any of their hare brained ideas and cultural yes people who will work 24/7 and do exactly what they're told when they're told fit the bill.

Meanwhile those same leaders get big bonus checks for cutting labor costs since someone from a 3rd world toilet costs about 1/4 of an American worker, doesn't push back on anything and can be worked around the clock.

then Allstate IT will be destroyed. No culture, no teamwork... All they do is hire their own people, compete with each other, get manager position is the goal, hand free, over promised, bluffing their works, make simple things complicated...
