Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Selection committee??

Any idea of who will be determining our fates? I’ve heard it may be people who don’t even know us which is why we were instructed to update our talent cards.

Whoever selects is already incompetent. They will select the incompetents as their ego can't stand on someone smarter than them. So, play stupid if you want to stay.

Does is not make sense that the same people that do the selections during PDCs would be the same ones doing selections for the reorg? They're the ones with the broader knowledge of which jobs would be available/needed and how to assess/leverage people's skills to meet those needs. This is my 1st reorg with Chevron so it's just my assumption. Is my thinking wrong?

They've already decided who's going and who's staying. This selection committee is a head fake to make everyone believe it has been fair and equitable. Filling out your talent card is just another useless task that has no bearing on what will happen. If you've filled out your PMP, this is just more of the same.

Selection primarily made at the selection committee level, recommendations will be mandatory. Better work that TC!
