Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

Transparency

Transparency is the culture common this month. I laughed out loud.

Stop pumping propaganda. You know good and well the very leaders of this company are the least transparent.

Model the transparency you want us to have. Talk about RIFs: the why and how they're determined. Stop talking in code about AI and doing more with less.

And how we care about feedback. If you wanted our opinion, you would have listened to us at any point over the past 7 years. The fact is, you're not going to improve our experience unless there's ROI attached. We are not a company who does things altruistically for associates.

And how you don't actually develop talent. You can't develop what you rif. And offshore can only know so much of our business because they're not victimized by our own coverage.

And how everything we're transforming was already in the works before the TO existed. And how much is already running behind or outright failing.

Stop expecting the working class to adhere to things you're not. These gaslighting, brainwashing campaigns fall flat when we're the only one doing them.

If the executives were genuinely serving the community, a security detail wouldn’t be necessary. Needing a security detail because of your actions speaks volumes about your character.

I am succeeding already at this culture common goal of transparency. I tell everyone I meet how horribly the employees are treated here and how greedy the executives are at the top. I am not hiding anything about how I feel about this place. :)

To be fair, if you read between the lines (lies) enough, they are in fact very transparent about their disregard and disrespect of their own employees.

The old chestnut of, actions speak louder than words, definitely applies here.

From what I can gather that Culture Commons garbage is all Felicia does for this organization.

I use to work here, for a few months, I left! Some of these leadership characters would be selling used cars if they did not work here. These jokers are amateurs.

I’m at the level where I am having more and more personal interactions with the executive leadership team. I cannot say this enough, they could not care less about associates. For ELT, everyone beneath them is an id--t and does not matter. They are royalty and everyone else is a pauper.

Amen! I’m so sick of town halls and transformation meetings. It’s just a forum for the leaders to brag about how rich they are even while they are riffing people the very next day. They cannot see how out of touch with reality they are. They are trying “ humanize” themselves with us and end up looking like bigger arrogant je-ks. Buy yourself a clue and just stop having these already. Stop pretending you care about us and our members. It’s insulting to me.
