Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

Anyone else lonely after Accenture moves?

Only been a few days with last large move. But this week has been downright unbearable and heartbreakingly gloomy seeing all the empty desks and floors where our TIAA turned Accenture colleagues used to sit at each site.

Feels pointless to go into the office without seeing their faces or walking to their desks to strike up a conversation about life or collab on work efforts. Now we only Zoom many times no video, short and just business…

As the dust settles.
Eerily quiet.
Darkness empty void.

Agreed. This week has been so empty. Monday was more people than Tuesday.

Then for some reason Wednesday I was one of 8 people on the floor that used to sit 150. Sadly I don't have anything to do with any of them and I don’t even know their names since no signs on cubicles due to hoteling, so zero collaboration and another “wasted day” in office. Like the in the know calls that should be emails.

Yesterday was not much better but at least there was a meeting to go in a mostly empty room with most attending via zoom. I am not going in today as I suspect it will be like a Saturday in the office.

You must walk down the hallways and smile at everyone.

Your presence in office, no matter how inane, makes the EC feel warm - even when they are at home.

Each day, the EC logs into Workday and scrolls through the 3.0 in office average and list of people they sold until climax.

Do not let them down. They need this.
