Thread regarding SS&C Technologies layoffs

Layoffs and RTO?

Has anyone heard anything about layoffs or return to office? I think most people enjoy the 6 days a month so hoping it doesn’t increase.

Did Jeremy Rossi, in another of his whiney LinkedIn videos, inform all software developers at SS&C Blue Prism that he's about to RIF you, teams of 20 down to teams of 5?

RTO is highly unlikely, they don't have the building capacity for everyone to return full time. The hybrid working is ridiculous especially when your whole team is in the states and are fully remote and you're here in the UK having to go in to tick a box. Wouldn't surprise me if there is another RIF! We're operating on skeleton staff as it is but hey let's get rid of another couple of hundred anyway!

Return To Office (RTO) is a pipedream that will never be reality. There are certain elements of the company where face-to-face is necessary to massage some egos and ensure ongoing buy-in/contract renewal, but we all work much better remotely.

Youre right. I really do “enjoy” trying to reserve a desk 6 times a month in an office that doesn’t even have the capacity to hold that many people

RTO probably not. They don't have the desk space for that. Layoffs are likely. Layoffs aren't a one-time thing. They continually lay people off throughout the year.
