Bonus Payout Timing

If I put in my 2-week notice exactly 2 weeks before bonus payout (last working day would be bonus payout day), will I receive the bonus? Has anyone done something similar in the past or know of anyone else's experience with this? Thanks

Wait until the check clears before giving your notice. If you have another job offer that can’t wait, start that job on time and do a combination of sick time and vacation time to get you through. If you’re worried about them clawing the money back, try to get into the office at least once after March 1. Good luck!

What's wrong with staying through the first two weeks of March, when you actually have the check in the bank, to leave?

It depends on what state you are in, but the two weeks' notice is normally a courtesy to your employer so they have time to adjust.
But in this case your employer may decline your offer to stay and say sayonara on the day you give notice.
If you are leaving to join a competitor they will for sure walk you out on the same day you give notice.

Don’t call in sick or take vacation. I Know two individuals that attempted tha. They actually got their bonus direct deposited only to have it withdrawn. You have to show up on the 28th or whichever business day follows.

The CIP policy says you will receive your bonus as long as you are on the payroll still on Feb 28 (or Feb 29 for a leap year). But if you put your two weeks in, pretty sure your manager can say “nah no need to stay two weeks, you can go now” so would def make sure you don’t say anything until after Feb 28 to secure the CIP with that paycheck.

Don’t risk it. Your manager may have discretion.
