Agents (and staff) March 1st

What are your thoughts or game plan for reduced compensation but higher variable comp goals?

Thanks for being honest here. I wondered why two Allstate agencies were for sale locally. Now I know not to bother exploring them.

Allstate doesn’t want agencies. They say they do on one hand, but not really. They are too expensive. They want to be a digital company and “agents” don’t fit into that goal. This company in a few years will be run by AI and offshore folks with very onshore employees. Only those that are needed for court and a few executives / board members. Hang it up and don’t look back! You aren’t going there!

The increased VC and decreased NB commission is bad. The biggest issue is corporate deciding to cut commissions on business written prior to 2023 that they promised they wouldn't do. This will cause agents to pull back any investments in growth and reduce staff. This will cause many to close their doors.

I really don't understand in this day and age why anyone would willingly choose to start an Allstate agency or work for one. Awful company. Cannot imagine any agent for this awful company would treat their employees much better.
