Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Former Quality guy here:

Need an experienced quality leader with PD experience that breaks the mold and is a single minded b*stard.

Fowler, former Quality VP, tracked the trackers and worked to understand what customers were complaining about after failures occured. His quality organization's contribution rested on its independence. It was simple in scope, limited in effectiveness.

Farley doesn't have the background to provide good leadership in quality

New leadership from JD Power will always look for more data because they never had enough to get good resolution. They are also looking for folks to stand up early on when there are problems, this won't happen because there is too much fear, instead problems will remain hidden until there is no chance they will be fixed in time.

The future looks bleak to me, I am retired though and may not have the full picture.
