spent $500,000 for the flag on the photo, which was discarded in 2 hours and another $10M for countless breakfast, dinner, drinks and plane tickets for the useless bunch to show up in New York
As Halliburton has always let Schlumberger lead the way* when it comes to adopting meaningless 'policy', one has to wonder what, and how much will "H" spend on their new logo.
*Except in buzz words, where we own that sector.
How much did they pay the NYSE to ring the Opening Bell?
Ooooooooh! I hope it’s the same logo my former fellow in OKC dug up from the grave in late 2019! That would be amazing! He made hoodies for everyone and branded leather books with our initials on them!
Schlumberger changes its name to SLB, part of the Get Woke, Go Broke movement

At our location cake with chemically colored blue frostin & blue colored beverages served to celebrate "new blue". Dept manager noticed that some didn't partake in the cake....said to be careful as those not buying into the "new" blue might be first ones who go bye bye in quiet firings. Stay safe = eat the cake & drink the blue cool aid.
Good question. And why the company taking out ads in climate change publications?
"A message from SLB" https://www.protocol.com/newsletters/climate/environmental-justice-carbon-dioxide-removal?rebelltitem=6
Employees denied raises but money to spend on ads - outrageous!!!
SLB?
Sounds

Kentucky Fried Chicken changed their name to KFC. It’s still chicken.
Different logo but same bsht
Glad to see Schlumberger recycling 1970's style corporate logo design.
A fifth grader could have a done a better new logo…
Let's not forget that Schlumberger is a family's name. Would you like your name to be associated with what this company has become? I would also try to distance myself from a synonym for unethical practices, nepotism, questionable international politics, contributor to environmental problems and so on.
New blue kool-aid for all the Boys, Girls and Other to drink down .
I am hoping to get lots of money for my old SLB logo coffee mugs, with logging trucks, on eBay
Someone got a nice kickback for rebranding, new logo, etc. I worked for an EPC company that spent 3 million on changing its logo (used to be a letter in a circle and became a letter in a square). The company went bankrupt and the CEO got a new CEO position recently.
Maybe it's a public relations rebranding after all the questionable stuff you read.

D-mbest sh-t ever. Lol.
Satans face hides behind many masks. They love changing things around for the betterment of their law escaping tactics.
The Schlumberger brothers must be rolling in their graves about what's happening to the company they founded. Uneeded name change that musta cost a lot of wasted time and money that could have been put towards real change.
RIP Schlumberger
According to media reports, Schlumberger's "rebranding to highlight its capability to develop lower-carbon businesses" but "does not mean that the company would move away from fossil fuels."
So the core business remains fossil fuels.... is the name change greenwashing ?
