Remote workers eligible for roles if not in hub?

What is your understanding of remote roles? Will remote workers be able to move to new roles if not in a hub city? Are they just stuck. Thoughts?

Well then our whole once a building of people are sc--wed. The closest hub to all 70 of us is over 60 miles away one way. I will not be driving 120 miles for work. Sorry not sorry--so when can i expect my layoff vacation?

I was 100% Remote for a long, long time.

Before the layoff, I was expected to go into the office, where there were 0 people on my actual team, and do my work from there.

If you think you are "stuck" because of location or role, assume you will be laid off. Have a "Plan B". I hate being "doom and gloom" but my layoff hit me so unexpectedly that I'm just passing off advice I wish I took more seriously.

If you’re remote and not near a hub, you are first to go in a layoff.

It will depend on the hiring manager and what the job requires(ie front line staff).

I had a coworker last month while was remote get a new role on another team while still being remote as the hiring manager didn't care. Can't say if they will allow it if it was a new external candidate.

All new positions are in a hub or client center. Anyone can apply as long as they are ok with hybrid or on-site setup.
