Recently found out some teams, including mine (MCBU-Production Services) have been asked to update their talent cards because that is how the secret group is going to decide how people will be chosen to keep their their current role, transitioned into a new position or let go….

Groups in RBU were told to have talent cards updated by March 31st. May the odds be ever in your favor….
At the tech center, my group was told to update our talent cards as part of the closing PMP process last year. Not a typical request, since it usually only matters if you're posting in the PDC. I am certain it is being used for some sort of ranking or placement process.
Nope. Blued boxed. MCBU.
AI will just build the organizational alternatives. Management will decide which to endorse and then tweak it to their individual tastes. It's happening folks!
You need to be really smart about what you put on your talent cards. Key words are critical. Talk to your PDC rep for tips.
If they used AI to make staffing decisions that included laying people off, and employees caught wind, they would have lawsuits on their desks faster than you can believe.
No, they’re really not. HR is a backwards organization and won’t use technology. Their strategy is only to offshore all of the jobs. RM has pushed back on these things because it was not ethical to use technology.
They are experimenting with AI to sort and sift the talent cards and build the new organization from the ground up. It's kinda cool.
I always update mine every month because I am gaining new talent so fast!
Everyone has, yes
Told last week in PSCM
My team was told to update ours (RBU)
Yes, but no point if you’re going to EOI.
My talent is sc--win' around all day on the layoff site and complaining that I can't WFH all the time and pretend to work while I still collect a fat paycheck for doing nothing.
Knowing some of the people chosen for this “special assignment” to be a part of the secret selection committee, they’re going refer to CoPilot unfortunately. if there’s anything I know about Chevron, our project management and execution is sh-t. Shouldn’t expect any different here.
The Talent Card - because what's more exciting than reducing your entire professional existence to a digital trading card? I'm sure it's a real thrill-ride to update your "talent card" with skills and accomplishments, just so some secret group of overlords can decide your fate. It's not like you're a human being with actual talents and abilities, but rather a collectible card that can be easily sorted and discarded. And I'm sure the fact that it's being used to determine who gets to keep their job, who gets "transitioned" (read: demoted), and who gets axed is just a fun little bonus. I mean, who needs actual human interaction or meaningful performance evaluations when you can just have a secret group of people looking at your talent card and making decisions about your career? It's like a real-life game of "Career Pokémon" - will you be a Pikachu (kept in current role), a Charmander (transitioned to new position), or a Magikarp (let go)? The suspense is ki-ling me. And of course, the fact that only certain teams have been asked to update their talent cards is totally not discriminatory or biased in any way. I'm sure it's just a complete coincidence that MCBU-Production Services was chosen for this honor.
Anyone find it weird how it’s so late in the process they’re telling us? I was told last week
Yes - was told today in fact. Not MCBU.
Yes
