Maternity leave during reorg

If I have to take maternity leave during 3rd quarter this year, how will I participate in the ROM? Has anyone gone through reorg while pregnant?

You’re going to have a chance to EOI very soon. If you’re in Houston, your chance of sticking around is much higher than SR or elsewhere. With such significant cuts to US workforce this ROM isn’t like any past ones.

You’re in a good position as this thing will be done before Q3. I’d be surprised if they leave a woman in the third trimester standing in this Q2 ROM.

I've also participated in a ROM while on maternity leave... same experience as @a2+1jk6bd4an... you have to be 100% engaged in the process - log in, select jobs and engage with job owners

A friend of mine was on maternity leave during the 2020 reorg and was left standing. She was haphazard about participating in it though and was vocal with her supervisor about disliking her position and wanting a new one. She filled out the forms to apply to roles but I don’t think she went the extra step of talking to each hiring manager and presenting herself as a great candidate (probably because she was super busy handling a newborn!). I recall her telling me later that she was shocked when her supervisor and HR called to say she was left standing. Best advice is to take it seriously as if you were still working. Best of luck!

Does this apply to people in STD?

Be very transparent on when your leave is going to be, in a similar situation and guidance was that I should pay attention to the process and call in virtually to engage as needed..

Unless your skills and function are absolutely no longer required, or there is a strong case of low ongoing performance , you are likely to be fine. (CVX will do their best to avoid a perceived discrimination due to pregnancy). Just check your emails and log on to the sharepoint form to view and select your options. . All the best

Hopefully it will be done by then, but I have been through 2 layoffs on 2 separate maternity leaves. Both times I had to login to do the job selections and set up meeting with my supervisor and any job owners for jobs I was listing. So you basically participate as if you weren’t on leave.
