I work in Qualiity and every since we were positioned under Production i have seen a decline in the quality of all our processes. In my opinion, Quality should always be separated from Production. Coupled with the pressure to meet turn times and the multi generational workforce now, Quality should be 2nd to safety and there is zero effort to try to retain the more senior experienced workforce!

They hired fat lazy id--ts to do the job who then use the union to protect them. It will be the lazy ones who cause more jobs to be lost.

Tighter manufacturing schedule with less people manage quality. That’s an equation for disaster.

Money is the key motivation in this story. It is no longer about how the employees are doing or what our part is in anything. It just boils down to do the job and meet the milestones. Human factor is a thing of the past; now they will continue selling their stock and giving upper management bonus after bonus. Sad

Money is more important than quality right now. Near-sited actions being taken to maximize short-term profits at the cost of long-term success.
