Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Headcount from Nov 2024 layoffs?

Does anyone know the number of people laid off from the Nov 2024 RIF when D&IS was retired? No matter who I ask, nobody seems to be disclosing the number of people RIF’d.

A lot of the agents that had cubicles years ago at Sears Department Store are all approaching retirement age.

You can track ANI’s headcount vis the financial reports available through company’s house. They are free to download.

There are 4700 EA's with just over 6000 locations. TC is losing huge chunks of market share and their retention is tanking. I wonder why? TG has lead to more quarters of losing money than profits and has never produced growth. Maybe the 5 year experiment should be ended.

EA offices may be listed as around 7500 - but there are less than that actaul Exclusive Agents (EA's) as some agents own multiple offices. And there is a substantial exodus of agents this first quarter of 2025 based on the upcoming compensation changes ( read : "reductions") to be effective Mar 1st. Allstate is getting just what it wants - less agents and more direct and on-line sales.

I heard from someone in corporate if you go to the india facebook allstate groups and compare it with the number of jobs. They said it appeas as for every four jobs 1.3 have been moved overseas. Also, with EA offices it went from 13,000 to the lowest ever 7500.

Ive heard (but not confirmed) ANI headcount is down 30% since 2020 pre-covid. A number of factors here not just redundancies, although they are big part of it

Allstate has been extremely tight-lipped about the exact numbers, due to the optics. They haven’t disclosed figures internally or externally, and to make things even less clear, some of the RIFs have been classified as "retirements". This further clouds the true impact of the layoffs.
