I can't confirm the poster's $ figure, but $10,400 is correct and that is effectively 3% of their annual compensation, then they are doing ok.

Less than intelligent comments about what they can or can't afford are either based on a lack of basic math skills, a lack of intellectual honesty in admitting they have no clue about the individual's situation and are just talking to hear their gums flap, or jealousy.

I'm betting on all 3.
