Honestly not an HR shill, etc. but just looking for ideas/solutions. Here's what I'd like to see in Town Halls:
- what's happening to our company in the next time frame (quarter, year, etc.)
- what's relevant in the business right now to ME AND MY JOB so I can act accordingly
Rather than tell me your "why" which seems to strike many as offensive, tell me how you've overcome a struggle in your role in this company. Like, if you have a baby, does your team actually allow you to be a mom/dad as well as an employee? What if you are caring for a family member - what flexibility were you given? These (and others) are what we really want to know.
