Any insights if there is another round of layoffs coming? Im hearing they are "randomly" digging in to every little thing looking for people to make a honest mistake to terminate.

My regional director expressed concerns of being employed after the merger. And this is a guy who's respected.
There aren't a lot of cuts that can be made at the local level in my market after this last round. Stuff we were doing will have to be supplemented by contractors now.
With every CEO change or merger there has always been a cleansing of Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Directors. Always. RIFs and org changes are far from over, in relation to the merger it’s just the beginning. The upper levels are always the last to go, right before the new leadership sweeps in and takes over.

Shopped around to Zayo a few years ago. They said no. Today they merged with crown castle. Uniti is next as a firesale. Assets are worthless and human capital is expensive. Fire most of your employees and you have cash in the bank.
Several rounds coming up (not just one). The execs think that workers are stupid. They say they don’t know. They have signed NDAs in order to lie to the front lines. They have to act like everything is normal while they plan on backstabbing you. 🥴 Derp..
