Thread regarding F5 Networks Inc. layoffs

my.f5.com - Bug Tracker

F5's focus is profit. The details in the reported bugs/problems listed indicate F5 can't be bothered with quality. Not a company that I would invest in. Not a company that I would want to work for.

"Who is the person posting ridiculous comments that show they have zero experience in the industry?"

66 years old, or older, and your skimming thelayoff.com? That’s pretty telling. Hopefully you find retirement soon and can finally relax and unplug. I’m certainly not planning on reading thelayoff.com, commenting on all the places I wouldn’t work at once I’m that age… or even now. Who does this?

48 years

I've seen/experienced the excellenece, the good, the bad, and the ugly in the software industry.

Profit and quality are not mutually exclusive - however in the case of F5 - from what you say they are too far in the hole.

With the right leadership and mindset, having both is both achievable and rewarding I once was hired by a President to turn their company around - two years later - we had it turned around. 5 years later we we were bought out by a Fortune 500 company because of our reputation. 2 years later our division was closed down due to a new VP not believing both profit and quality were mutual. He didn't understand that it was the quality that generated the profit.

It's all about what leadership wants and how they want to do it. From what I have read of your CEO, it's all about profit

Not a place for me.

Who is the person posting ridiculous comments that show they have zero experience in the industry? Every software company carries a ton of bugs. To fix them all would bankrupt them. Fix the ugliest ones, the others most customers will never hit. There’s a process to this.

Stop making stupid comments. Get some experience.
