Thread regarding Pratt and Whitney layoffs

Are they targeting older employees?

From what I can see, nobody over 45 is safe.

Bet the EEOC would love to get complaints on this, found out they represent the complainer in the law suit. Note there was no WARN notice of layoffs which is required by law.

Absolulely. That's what's going on. The older ones are being targeted. This is a company disregard ethical and law.

Hey, I mean, they're allowed to discriminate based on age, race, s-x, and s-xual orientation now! /S

Real talk though, it does seem that its the 45+ crew that is being hit the hardest.

I am under 45, but remote. I am thinking remote employees may have also been targeted.

Yep, 14 years here, made it to P4. Standard issue layoff, get rid of the older expensive ones, bring in new cheap blood. We had a brief strech under Bob Leduc coming back, but Chris and Shane have been abysmal

"intentionally targeting" is what I meant to say.
