I have this feeling from last 6 months that I will be let go, it has not happened yet but certainly will happen soon. Just walk into office with a smile that it could be your last and be mentally prepared .Live everyday here thinking it’s a bonus and grow your network in LinkedIn & past colleagues & update your CV! Good luck .. don’t let these leaders rob your sanity & peace of mind. Good luck

I felt that way all last year, like I could be Rif'd at any moment... and I was in the October Rif group. The job market is skeletal, I haven't found anything yet and i'm startring to freak.
@az+1jjs8w8fq - it's just funny that this fool seems to have nothing better to do with their time than to come onto this site to flex about their salary
LinkedIn is totally worthless. They're so-called "networking" value is completely overrated. I've never found them to be helpful when it comes to landing a new job. To make matters worse, it's estimated that approximately 40% of the jobs being posted online are fake. Finally, there is covert age discrimination on the part of many prospective employers - so don't assume that your experience and expertise in your chosen field will necessarily help you to land a job, particularly if you're age 50 or older. Trust me, it's a real rat race out there. :(
@ay+1jjs8w8fq - probably the same person who always seemed to date a girl “from another school”
Who is this person who keeps coming onto these threads bragging about their $200k salary?
This is the best advice. Pay off your debt. House, cars, cc each month. When (not if) it happens, it won’t be devastating. F the Joneses, they’re broke.
Good advice here. Live beneath your means. If a RIF never comes, you saved more than you would have. If a RIF comes, you are prepared. I make ~200K and live like I make less than 100K. When I made 100K, I lived like I made 50K.
Would completely agree with this thread. Network through LinkedIn to be ready and have 6-12 months of living expenses saved. Finally, take a good look at your finances to see where you can reduce your expenses. You would be surprised how much you spend that is not necessary.
The best way to navigate working at this company is to always be ready to be Rifd. Make sure you have some savings and have a resume ready to go.
