Thread regarding MetLife Inc. layoffs

Officer Life

I once worked for a Met officer that told me they were too busy to read emails, answer their phone, or attend meetings they scheduled. They "forgot" their instant messager password and for over a year claimed to not know the help center number to get it reset so they didn't have instant message capability. But the 1st day there was a survey, required learning or focus feedback that they could shine with their senior level about all the crew having it done you could expect an email & phone call and visit to insure they look like gold. Not that they'd read any feedback of course.

It seems like times may not have changed a lot.

I don't expect people to be honest on those surveys. They're not anonymous even if they want to say they are.

The manager survey coming out next week, the feedback will not impact the manager's performance review. Wow, just wow. So this Company truly wants to continue to employ bad managers, despite any negative feedback from their team members. But the rest of us, development plans up the wazoo.
