Thread regarding CDW layoffs

How much did everyone make last year?

Healthcare west: 132k. Not my best year. Not excited about the new goat matrix.

"I won't say how much as a non-sales coworker but when I left I increased my pay by 90% after years of increases that didn't match cost of living.
You may need to leave the tech industry. Even if you're a preseller you can find roles outside of VAR and manufacturers."

Why post this on a layoff site?

I left CDW in Oct of last year for a totally different career. Went from managing a small team at CDW to being an individual contributor with a large company that contracts with the military. At CDW, I made $120k with a 10% non-sales bonus, although I don’t think I ever got close to the 10%. I was salaried and worked way more than 40 hours a week. With the new company, I am hourly and make around $150k/year. I got a pretty nice pay rise in January, going from $68/hr to $75/hr. I also can’t work any overtime so I have a very nice work/life balance. In addition, I work from 6-2 everyday so I typically have plenty of time in the evenings to cook and spend time with family. My CDW manager would have never let me work from 6-2, as it was outside of core business hours (even though we didn’t have any contact with external customers). I’d have to say, leaving CDW was the best thing I could have ever done for my career!!

“To the profit sharing posts, did yours show 100% vested at time of depature? That's what mine shows so how would they be able to pull that back if I leave?”

I kept my 100% vested shares when I left - They just take all un-vested shares.

I was also non-sales and my pay increased by 35% overnight after years of below cost of living pay increases from CDW.
I work fewer days and less hours per week and receive other financial benefits from my employer - The best decision I ever made was to leave CDW!

May I ask what field you ended up in? I'm debating on a totally different path as well that more aligns with my hobbies/passions in life. I can tell you it isn't slinging IT services, ha.

Yeah to agree with the comment below opened my fidelity recently after leaving following 6 years of work and the profit sharing is indeed gone.

Just wait until you see what happens to your “profit sharing” at Fidelity when you leave. They sn---h it back.

CDW takes a cut of spiffs. Pay is pathetic. Knew it was time to gtfo when they “promote” and your base is reduced to a measly 30k. If you miss goal you keep 7.7% of profit in the plan. SMB east/75k

Lmao bold of you to assume we are all in sales. 80k for the year and I’m on the HIGH end of PPM.

This is 100% a scam, and upon closer examination, the details are even more concerning. The percentage you earn is calculated based on the average of your monthly individual margins combined. As a result, CDW emerges as the "winner," since the final commission percentage can drop as low as 8%. (Managers: Don’t worry—we’ll secure the deal registration at the right time, and it’s fine to sell at a loss for now!!) So, on that high-margin order, who’s pocketing the percentage that I’m not earning? This situation is ripe for a lawsuit. Oh!!! and of course, they’ll meticulously deduct every last cent from my paycheck, like reclaim a $2 freight override. A masterclass in pettiness!!!

My pay has down around 10% the past 3 years despite generating more revenue and profit each year than the last. This place is a pyramid scheme.

There's a goat matrix?! Does it rank pygmy goats vs other types of goats? I mean, the "leadership" are a bunch of goatfu-kers...so I guess it was only a matter of time.....
