@f6+1jjkgdyj7 Politics are the solution. No corporation will willingly pay American wages if they don’t have to. Until offshore and/or H1B are put on a level playing field, jobs will be hard to come by. AI will worsen this, since some seem to think AI + offshore = American. A check and balance by the government is necessary.

bs+1jjkgdyj7...This is my post. I will rephrase and say he may or may not be a mo--n since he did manage to get elected but I am very concerned in the direction this country may be going since the emphasis seems to be on the wealthy and corporations. I am neither wealthy nor a corporation.

previously my role was safe due to regulations that prevent offshore teams from viewing PHI. Literally that saved my butt. Last week during our weekly team meeting my new incompetent manager informs us that the business has found a way around that regulation and will be allowing offshore teams to do our job. And was actually smiling while telling us this. I dont think they realize they just signed their own death certificate. The density of these people man!!!
I've been here long enough to go down with the ship but in the meantime I'm gas lighting the AI to break it, offloading all my work on the H1 visa workers and giving the offshore teams a bunch of outdated misguided information. I might work hard enough to get promoted. Reduced bonus, reduced performance.
I agree....T r u m p is a m o r o n. He has caused so much strife within a week of taking office. He nor his minions give a hoot about the working class. They only care about the wealthy and corporations!!! What a sad state this country is facing now!
You are not safe here anymore, especially if you are in operations or support operations in any way. The goal is to offshore as many jobs as possible or simply eliminate them and have the remaining associates take on the extra workload.
Layoffs for DPAIO this week
Operations has a RIF upcoming in March. For those who aren't aware, there are actual projects around reducing onshore staff. This company has no AI beyond trying to rip off chatgpt but executive leaders literally lie to their superiors creating a false narrative that we have been successful with AI. The goal is to have no onshore claims associates within 5 years with AI/automation/offshore handling all the work. This whole company is a house of cards built on lies. I am considered a senior leader and am looking to get out but the job market is f u c k e d right now. The m o r o n Trump just mandated no civilian hires for federal jobs so one less avenue to make a career change/get out of this h e l l hole.
