10 to 15% is way too low. Mike Wirth went on the financial news and stated billions of dollars in cost cutting by the end of 2026. That includes divestitures but employee wages, medical benefits, pensions, 401K, bonuses and all at American wages are a lot to carry in this new American economy of gig workers. Corporations want contractors with no employee benefits to carry into the future. I believe 30 to 50% reduction in employees in the USA. MSP's and contractors are the "new" staffing model in the USA. This allows increase / decrease in staffing more dynamically.

What makes people think the only reason for layoffs is Engine. I believe Engine's casualties will be over period of next couple years but for now.. probably a 10-15% reduction in next 3-4 months.

ENGINE is behind schedule and the big announcement - layoff timing and quantity - has to be in similar limbo. I don't think we'll hear anything concrete.
